JSC “Forteza” was founded in 2005 as European office of Russian manufacturer JSC “Ochrannaja Technika”, which produced perimeter security systems.
“Forteza” can offer different perimeter protection solutions, like high quality microwave, wired, tribo-electric, seismic and other perimeter protection detectors.
Our equipment will help to ensure the perimeter protection of any object – from a private house, small office to large commercial or public facilities. “Forteza” detectors will be effective in detecting an intruder, who can try to get into your territory.
In order to prepare a perimeter protection project it is necessary to evaluate different parameters of the designed object, such as:
1) The level of perimeter protection, i.e. it is necessary to decide how many protection sub bands to be used on the object. It depends on the status of the object (public facility, facility of special purpose, factory, private house, etc.)
2) The area – either the relief is flat or it is landscaped or there are buildings within the protected area.
3) The organization – which will switch on/off the perimeter alarm system.
4) Protection zones – it is necessary to specify the length of protection zones required for the designed object. Forteza: by means of perimeter security systems we can protect from 5 to 500 m area. It depends on the fact whether the area protection system is connected to the video surveillance system. Nowadays, it is popular to use the way of perimeter protection when video alarm after activation is transmitted to the central monitoring station and the operator coordinates crew actions on the objects.
5) Reaction – who reacts to the perimeter protection alarm. Several options can be chosen there:
a) Security officer (watchman), who will go and inspect the specified area in case of alarm activation.
b) Security officer (crew), who will come to the protected area after a certain time and inspect the area, where the alarm went off.
6) Depending on the area size and purpose and after evaluation of the area’s parameters, we can start designing the perimeter security system.
Where and how to use Forteza’s perimeter security systems?
First of all, we examine solutions proposed by Forteza and apply them to our designed object.
Microwave protection systems.
Bistatic detectors:
Forteza FMW – the detector refers to a group of bistatic detectors. It consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The detector is used in case of direct visibility between the transmitter and the receiver. Detector’s operating frequency – 9,4 GHz.
Principle of operation:
An electromagnetic field is generated in the space between the transmitter and receiver. The field forms a volumetric detection zone in the form of a stretched ellipsoid of rotation. The receiver registers the electromagnetic field changes and generates an alarm when an intruder crosses a detection zone. 
Technical parameters:
The detector retains its characteristics if ambient temperature is from -40º to +65ºC and relative humidity is up to 98% at +35ºC. The length of the detection zone is up to 50, 100, 200, 300 m. Detector’s settings are made by means of controllers in the detector.

Use:
Detectors are used in spaces where there is a direct visibility between the transmitter and the receiver.
Installation:
1) Detectors are mounted about 85 cm from the ground. Either two transmitters or two receivers are mounted in one corner of the territory.
It is prohibited to mount both the transmitter and the receiver in one corner of the territory, because the detectors will operate unstable and generate false alarms and can even be damaged.
Intersecting of protection zones: we recommend to intersect detectors as shown at the illustration.
2) Detectors are mounted against climbing over the territory’s wall or roof of the building.
IMPORTANT: in the protection zone, which is created by a pair of detectors, there should be no moving parts, branches of trees, bushes, flags, tents.

Monostatic detectors:
Forteza M-60 and Forteza M-30 are detectors of new generation. Both the transmitter and the receiver are mounted in the same case. A high “intelligence” of the detector uses digital signal control devices to process signals, which allows to improve considerably the functional and performance characteristics of the detector.
Principle of operation: 
Signal processing by control devices and distribution of detection areas into 12 smaller zones allows to define detection area limits clearly and to increase resistance to failures, such as people and traffic outside the limits of the detection area. Possibility to disable one or several smaller zones, which allows to organize “authorized” passages through the protected area, for example people’s movement through checkpoints or vehicular traffic through the gates.
Use:
This perimeter protection solution, can be used for protection of individual objects, containers, vehicles (cars, buses), electric substations, towers with mobile communication repeaters or other equipment.
Protection of the territory, tunnels, passages, entrances; protection of the building’s wall and roof.

Technical parameters:
Distribution of the detection area into 12 smaller zones increases resistance to movement of the birds and small animals in the detection area as well as to weather influence, compared with other monostatic radio wave detectors.
Technical parameters of the detectors depend on their modifications:
• “Forteza-M30 (volume) – length of 30 m, width of 8 m, height of 8 m.
• “Forteza-M60 (volume) – length of 60 m, width of 15 m, height of 15 m.
• “Forteza-M60 (curtain) – length of 60 m, width of 5 m, height of 25 m.
• “Forteza-M60 (fan) – length of 60 m, width of 25 m, height of 5 m.
Installation:
Detectors are mounted on the metal stanchion or wall.
IMPORTANT: in the detector protection zone, there should be no moving parts, branches of trees, bushes, flags, tents.
Tribo-electric detectors.
Tribo-M perimeter security systems (deformation detectors) can protect the next or similar objects: fences made of barbed wire or coils, wire mesh fences, wooden, brick, ferroconcrete barrages, metal grates, roofs of buildings, hangars, gates, trees near protected area.
Principle of operation:
Sensitive element is mounted on the fence and connected to the processing unit. When an intruder crosses the fence, he deforms it in several places. Deformation is transmitted to the attachment points and through them – to the sensitive element. A sensitive cable receives information from the fence. The processing unit detects deformation from the sensitive cable. Depending on the sensitivity settings, alarm is generated after breaking of the relay contacts. 
Use:
Protection of any types of fences from an intrusion by means of climbing over or destroying them. Using sensitivity settings in the detector, it is possible to ensure protection of the wooden fence. Using insensitive cable, it is possible to extend the length of protected areas, to pass round the entries or gates, to mount Tribo-M processing unit indoors.
Technical parameters:
Tribo-M has 4 security zones to which the sensitive cable is connected. The length of each zone is up to 300 m. The detector has a relay contact for every protected area. It is connected to the data collection system. The detector constantly controls a state of the sensitive cable. In case of cable fault, a sabotage signal is generated. It is programmed using PC.
Installation:
The processing unit can be mounted indoors or outdoors. The sensitive cable is mounted on the fence by means of plastic straps every 30-50 cm. Cable laying on the fence depends on the type of fence and on the status of the protected object. The cable is mounted on the wooden fence by means of metal brackets or metal tape.
